We thought long and hard about a new bass guitar cabinet design, but when the smoke cleared, we knew that there was definitely room for a new contender. Two of our main concerns are, (1) "Why a tweeter"? and (2) "Why carpet covered"?
Being in the repair business for many years I have replaced lots of blown tweeters in bass cabinets, and it seems that everyone is using them. Most of my "Pro" clients have tweeters in their cabs, but usually turn them off or slightly on if any. In light of that we developed our proprietary "Custom" 250 watt 10" bass speaker with extended high frequency response. No more blown tweeters!
We also thought bass players were getting a raw deal in the visual aesthetic department, so we cover our all our "Quad Bass" cabs with the same material as our guitar cabs. No carpet here!
